We Love Barry M

Mint green Barry M with a hologram over coat

I'm still wearing my winter jumpers in May?! So I decided to bring some summer to my life with these sparkling nails!

Casual evening with friends

Went for a meal and drinks with friends last night for a much needed revision break! I wore my denim shorts from topshop which are an absolute staple item - I love them and they go with pretty much anything. I teamed the shorts with a crochet and embroidered cream top from Hollister and my wax black jacket from Zara. Then of course my beloved Mulberry Alexa handbag, brown topshop belt and a selection of silver and pearl accessories.

The denim shorts are still on sale in topshop. I always wear mine with tights as they are quite short, however if you are looking for a similar style but covering a bit more of the leg try some of these below!

Zara £22.99                                     River Island £30.00                           Missguided £19.99

No7 Tinted Moisturiser

I use this product daily, it's perfect for adding a touch of colour to your face and offers a lighter option to foundation. Not only does it moisturise but adds the benefit of SPF sun protection too, keeping your skin youthful for longer and warding off those looming wrinkles!

The No7 product comes in three colours, light, medium and dark. With quite fair skin i opt for the medium colour, a perfect match in the summer months and stops you looking too washed out in the winter.

It is only £12 and lasts for ages, I have had mine 6 months and its still going strong. Invest in this now!

Gloriously Skinny Soups

Its come around to the time of year again when we're starting to think about shedding those thick winter clothes, and preparing our bods for bikinis and summer clothes. So we're starting to hit the gym a little bit more and counting those calories.

Something both of us have been loving at the moment is the Glorious! range of soups, that are super low in fat and calories! Their skinny soup range, has a huge choice of different flavours to choose from! Our favourites so far being the Goan Spiced Tomato and Lentil (has a slightly spicy/Indian taste to it...yum!) and the New England Butternut Squash (again got a little bit of spice to it, its great!) At under 150 calories per half a pot we can't really complain...and to make it that bit better its on offer in Sainsbury's at the moment-Buy One Get One Free for £1.99. Perfect for a cheap and light lunch.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions

This 3-step solution is perfect for anyone with oily skin ranging from the occasional blemish to breakouts. I am an avid user and have seen noticeable improvements in my skin in 2 weeks! It takes a bit of dedication using morning and night, cleansing, exfoliating and moisturising but definitely worth  the extra effort. You can buy the set for £30 and they last for ages.

Even if you don't suffer with oily skin Clinique offer a wide range of products for varying skin types.
Visit their website and complete a quick online consultation where they will recommend which products are best for you!

Can be bought individually of as a set.

Cross Confession

A trend that we have definitely fallen a little bit in love with at the moment has to be crosses. T-shirts, rings, necklaces, on shorts, dresses…you name it, we’re a fan!

Here’s a little selection of some of the items we’re swooning over at the moment…

Topshop, Cross on Thong Necklace, £10
Miss Selfridge, Brown Wood Cross Ring, £6.50
ASOS, Fine Cross Bracelet, £6

Topshop, Cross Front Long Cami Tunic, £22

Graduation Dresses

The Search for Graduation Dresses...

So its come around to the end of our third year at university and we can’t help but feel a little bitter sweet about this part of our lives coming to an end. With the constant reminder of exams, aiming for that beloved 2:1 and spending more time in the library than at home, one of the things that is motivating us through this stressful time is the thought of our Graduation Ball in June.

To us, it is like the pinnacle of our University lives and of course everyone wants to look amazing! We’re sure that we can speak for many girls in our situation that there have been far too many a times when we have been glued to our laptop screens searching for a Grad Ball dress, searching through endless clothing websites rather than knuckling down to revision.

Unfortunately, we have been nothing short of a little disappointed in the choice out there, finding that there are a limited amount of nice dresses for plus £200 (not in our student budget!) or a small amount of cheaper dresses that definitely look cheap!

Nevertheless, here are a selection of our favourite ones that are available at the moment...

Ted Baker, Silk Maxi Dress £229
We're in love with this Ted Baker Maxi, the simplicity of its design, the strapless
neckline and the material of this dress is to die for, making this one of our absolute
favourites that are around this spring.
French Connection, Spring Moiree Maxi Dress, £160
This one is something a little different, but we reckon it could look great teamed
with some gold jewellery and a great tan!
ASOS, Jarlo Gathered Bustier Maxi Dress, £85
Similar shape seen in many of Ted Baker's dresses this spring but
without the hefty price tag. Still a gorgeous design and the mint green
is right on trend this spring/summer 2012
TFNC Dress Sequin Bandeau Maxi, £65
Soft, pretty and elegant, this dress has a little sparkle to
jazz up the beautiful cream skirt on this dress. Available from ASOS
